A window onto the piazza
When the former garage became an office, a large pane of glass replaced the old garage door. Since then, every working day has begun with a view of Murazzano's piazza. Across the way, Martina opens her hair salon; next door, Cristiana and Claudio welcome the first customers in their tabacchi. From the bar comes the clinking of cups, while the first footsteps of the day echo over the cobblestones.
Inside, Nicole stands at her standing desk. Between screen and window, the morning passes with small changes that hardly anyone notices. A phone number is corrected, a photo replaced, opening hours adjusted or a Google Business Profile updated. It is often only a few minutes of work, yet these are exactly the details someone will look for later.
Creating order
Nicole has been looking after websites since 2005. She likes numbers, clear structures and tasks that can be completed neatly. When a change is saved, the result is visible immediately. Perhaps that is exactly what she likes about website maintenance: things become consistent and reliable again. Many customers have been with her for years. Working relationships have become familiar contacts. People know each other, make a quick call, finish a change and often already understand what the other person needs before they explain it.
Between screen and trattoria
From Tuesday to Friday, Nicole spends her days here at the window onto the piazza. At the weekend, she crosses to the other side of life. Then she works at Lele's, carries plates to the tables, talks with guests and laughs with the people who come together to eat. Anyone who knows her quickly notices that the two things belong together. She loves good food, cooks with real pleasure and enjoys meeting friends around a laid table. During the week she brings order to digital content; at the weekend she is one of the people who give life to a place.
A familiar view
When evening comes and the piazza slowly grows quieter, Nicole enters her hours. Not out of habit, but because she likes to see what has come into being that day. Outside, Martina, Cristiana and Claudio close their doors. The last guests leave the bar. In the office, the screen goes dark. The next morning, someone will once again search for an address, a menu or a phone number. They will probably never know who made sure it was still up to date. Perhaps they do not need to.
